England won the third T20I against India by a 26-run margin in Rajkot as they made a solid comeback in the five-match T20I series. Much like the second game, Adil Rashid turned out to England's most economical bowler, conceding only 15 in his four-over quota.

He got only the solitary wicket of Tilak Varma in the third fixture. However, the manner in which the leg-spinner brought about the dismissal left many in awe, including former Indian cricketer R Ashwin, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Rashid's guile.

Coming to the run-chase, after putting up 171 on the board, England had the hosts on the ropes as they kept on chipping away with regular breakthroughs. None of the Indian batters could establish themselves on the crease. Pacers Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse picked up a couple of wickets each. After copping a golden duck in the first innings, Jamie Overton redeemed himself by securing a three-wicket haul.

Hardik Pandya top-scored for India with 40 off 35. Other than him, only Abhishek Sharma was able to score over 20. Earlier in the game, Varun Chakravarthy ripped through the English batting unit to end up with a splendid five-wicket haul, his second in his T20I career. Ravi Bishnoi proved to be the most expensive of the lot, conceding 46 in his four overs.
