IND vs ENG 2025: Enthusiastic spectators flock to Barabati Stadium to watch India's training session

The second ODI of the ongoing series will be the first 50-over international at the Barabati Stadium since December 2019.

The eve of the second ODI of the three-match series between India and England saw a lot of passionate supporters turn up to watch a practice session  at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The game is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9.

As per the visuals being shared on social media platform, X, one section of the ground's lower and middle stands was almost packed to its full capacity. A team of police officers was also spotted outside the venue.

The last time India played at the venue was on December 22, 2019, a game which the hosts ended up clinching by four wickets. Speaking of the overall record, India have managed to win 13 of the 17 ODIs they have played at the Barabati Stadium.

Meanwhile, after the 4-1 domination in the recently-concluded T20I series, the 50-over segment kicked off with India winning the first game of the series by four wickets. It was a clinical performance from the home team, who restricted England to 248 before chasing down the target with 68 deliveries to spare.

Ace batter Virat Kohli did not feature in the series opener due to a soreness in his right knee. However, he is set return in the upcoming game. There are bound to be immense expectations from Kohli to return to his usual self after several months of underwhelming outings with the bat.
