Team India captain Rohit Sharma is known for his hilarious exchanges with his players both on and off the field. This time in the ongoing second Test between India and England, a hilarious banter took place between the skipper and spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The duo are known to have some trust deficit when it comes to the ace spinner initiating the DRS reviews from time to time. Notably, the incident took place in the third over after India set a target of 399 runs for England and were looking to appeal against opener, Zak Crawley.
Interestingly enough, fiery pacer Jasprit Bumrah was bowling who managed to beat Crawley's bat with the barest of margins. Eventually, this triggered a discussion between the trio of Rohit Sharma, keeper KS Bharat and Kuldeep Yadav. It was at this juncture, that Kuldeep tried convincing the Indian skipper to take the chance believing Crawley to have knicked the ball.
Consequently, on the legspinner's constant resistance, the 'Hitman' decided to go upstairs. However, the DRS (Decision Review System) route did not go India's way as there was a huge gap found between Crawley's bat and the ball. This led Rohit Sharma to come up with a rather hilarious reaction after the giant screen showed the verdict of the review. Besides, to everyone's bafflement, Kuldeep Yadav was stationed in the square leg region and hence he was standing much farther than Bharat and Bumrah to have spotted the process of bat and ball meeting point with ample clarity.
Albeit, to Team India's relief, after Bharat and Bumrah went against taking the call, India kept their DRS intact. But this did not stop Rohit Sharma in the aftermath as he was seen clapping while pointing his hands towards Kuldeep Yadav. It was indeed a clear attempt to troll him on a hilarious note for his unsuccessful streak when it comes to taking DRS review calls for Team India.
