IND vs NZ: Suryakumar Yadav takes a screamer at slips during series decider in Ahmedabad
India posted a mammoth total of 234 runs in their stipulated 20 overs of the contest.
Suryakumar Yadav took two stunning catches while at slips during the final T20I clash against New Zealand. The Men in Blue have locked horns in the third and final T20I which also is the series decider at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
India posted a mammoth total of 234 runs in their stipulated 20 overs of the contest. In response to the humongous total, the visitors lost wickets early on in the contest which has mounted pressure in their run chase. Consequently, India beat New Zealand by 168 runs to clinch the T20I series by 2-1.
In the midst of the New Zealand batting innings, just when the explosive hitter, Glenn Phillips, tried to hit the ground running, a mis-timed shot saw the ball fly past his outside edge towards the second slip. Suryakumar, who was present at the slips, took an absolute screamer to send the Kiwi batter back to the dugout.
If that was not enough, in another instance, Suryakumar yet again took a blinder off the same place in the slip cordon, as he timed his jump to perfection to dismiss Finn Allen. Incidentally, the bowler on both the occasions was India skipper, Hardik Pandya, who claimed the big sharks. Pandya took a four-wicket haul to end his night on a high.
