Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan who served from 2018 to 2022, has been arrested and sentenced to three years in prison.
According to a report by Reuters, Imran Khan, 70, was convicted by a Pakistan trial court for failing to declare state gift proceeds to the Election Commission of Pakistan. His political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has already lodged an appeal with the country's Supreme Court in response to the verdict.
