The coveted cricket extravaganza Hong Kong Sixes 2024 is back after a hiatus of seven years. The Indian team also joined the six-over-per-side tournament along with 11 other teams. India were placed in Pool C along with countries like the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan. The team had an underwhelming start to the tournament as Pakistan beat them by six wickets.
India faced UAE in the second game and Stuart Binny found himself in a position where the team needed to chase 31 runs off the last six balls. The former India cricketer smashed a boundary off the first Asif Khan’s first balls and the next ball was a wide. He then smoked four consecutive sixes to bring the equation to three runs off one ball.
The right-handed batter missed the final ball and wanted to sneak a double. However, his attempt went in vain as he eventually fell short of the crease. Consequently, the Men in Blue lost the game by just one run margin.
