Bangladesh is undergoing turmoil as student protests have led to unrest in the country making PM Sheikh Hasina fly out of the country. The protests stemmed from the youth's demand for fairer access to government jobs and the uproar has resulted in the killing of nearly 300 people so far. Several reports emerged that the Hindu minorities of the country have been attacked and former Pakistan cricketer, Danish Kaneria has requested the Indian government to protect them and also warned them of similar repercussions in their own country.
It was reported that China and Pakistan’s ISI were behind the Bangladesh protests and supported the anti-India terror groups. The videos of extremist groups attacking Hindu temples and minorities are doing rounds on social media. Kaneria, who is a Hindu, urged the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and help the Hindus of Bangladesh.
"India, be cautious: Some inside your nation are hoping for a Bangladesh-like scenario. Guard against those trying to incite unrest for their own agendas," Danish Kaneria wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
"I urge @PMOIndia to intervene immediately to protect Bangladeshi Hindus. We must not abandon our brothers and sisters to the hands of extremists. #SaveBangladeshiHindus," he wrote in another post on X.

Hindus' properties destroyed, looted by miscreants
Recently, former Bangladesh captain, Mashrafe Mortaza’s house was set on fire by the miscreants during the protest. Adding to that, several houses and business establishments of Hindus were also looted in as many as 27 districts. Moreover, a Kali temple was destroyed and burnt down.
"One of our ISKCON centres (rented) in Meherpur was burnt, including the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra Devi. Three devotees who lived in the centre somehow managed to escape and survive," ISKCON spokesperson Yudhistir Govinda Das tweeted.
