IPL 2023: Anchor Mandira Bedi spotted sporting two wrist watches during opening ceremony

Mandira Bedi is a renowned figure in the sports media industry and has been covering sports, predominantly cricket as an anchor cum presenter for decades now. She has been given the onus to host the opening ceremony of IPL 16 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and while doing the same she was spotted sporting two wristwatches (one in each hand).

While there is no clarity as to why Mandira decided to appear in the same manner for the megaevent but one thing is for sure her graceful presence on the stage must have given plenty of her fans all around the world a reason to rejoice. The opening ceremony will be followed by the curtain raiser of IPL 2023 between defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.

The opening ceremony of the IPL 2023 is expected to be as grand as it is in every other edition as the roster of performers for the evening includes singer Arijit Singh, actor Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandhana among others. While Arijit is expected to entertain the spectators who have turned up for the opening fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

In addition to Arijit's performance, fans are also expected to be fascinated by Tamannah and Rashmika as they will also add to the vibe of the evening.

Guru vs Disciple to take stage in curtain raiser

Talking about the curtain raiser, it is going to be a battle between MS Dhoni who is no longer an active international cricketer and Hardik who has learnt a lot as a cricketer from the former. Hardik has time and again spoken very highly of Dhoni - about his batting ability and his ability as an astute reader of the game. 

The defending champions Gujarat Titans have the wood over CSK as they have played against them on two occasions and won both encounters in the last season.
