IPL 2023: Centurion Virat Kohli gets on video call with wife Anushka Sharma after RCB's win against SRH

After smashing a terrific century against Sunrsiers Hyderabad in the ongoing IPL 2023, Virat Kohli was spotted talking to Anushka Sharma over a video call, glimpses of which instantly went viral on all social media platforms, leaving the fans in awe. 

Meanwhile, the Bollywood actress has been spotted in the stands on multiple occasions this year but in the match against Hyderabad, she couldn't be there in person. However, after Kohli’s century, Anushka took to Instagram to congratulate him as she wrote, ‘He is (dynamite emoji). What an inning!’.

Notably, in a must-win game, Virat once again rose up to the occasion and played some brilliant cricket to help the visiting team win the match by eight wickets. Along with skipper Faf du Plessis, who smashed 71 runs off 47 deliveries, Virat built a strong partnership of 172 runs, which eventually decided the fate of the match. Meanwhile, courtesy of their phenomenal win, the three-time finalists jumped to number four on the IPL points table as the race to the top four intensified.

Currently, Chennai Super Kings with 15 points are second on the table while Lucknow Super Giants with the same number of points are third as they are behind in net run rate. Five-time champions Mumbai Indians are currently tied with Bangalore, having 14 points each while Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings have 12 points each at the moment.

Neither of the teams can afford to drop any more points at the moment. Thus, the final weekend of the league stage is going to be a blockbuster for sure. On the other hand, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis managed to become the first player to score 700-plus runs this season. With 702 runs to his name in 13 matches, the South Africa international is currently at the top of the IPL Orange Cap race while Virat is fourth on the list with 538 runs.
