Match number 41 of IPL 2023 between CSK and PBKS saw several thrilling moments unfolding during the course of the game. However, there came a controversial moment that left many fans on the edge of their seats. During the 19th over of the game, Tushar Deshpande bowled to set batter Jitesh Sharma, who had already amassed 21 runs of balls.

On the fourth ball of the same over, Sharma came up to tonk the ball for a maximum but the ball found Shaik Rasheed just near the ropes, who gave in his best to grab the ball. However, right after the catch was completed, several felt that Rasheed’s foot has already touched the boundary rope and the decision was sent to the TV umpire.

Even after several replays from different angles, there didn’t come any conclusive evidence of Rasheed disturbing the boundary rope and hence, Sharma was adjudged out. The incident took place when PBKS needed 15 runs off the last nine balls to get over the line and Sharma was operating with a strike rate of over 200. However, PBKS won the thriller by four wickets with three runs required off the last delivery as Sikandar Raza held his nerves well.

Talking more about the game, at one point in time, CSK looked in complete control of taking the game away and adding two crucial points to their tally after posting a challenging total of 200 runs on the board. However, PBKS batters kept their cool to take the visiting team home as Sam Curran, batting along Sharma added quick 29 runs to the tally. However, the finishing duties were carried out well by Sikandar Raza on the last ball of the game. Conway's 92 off 52 led CSK to post a humongous total on the board in Chennai.
