The 26th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 sees Rajasthan Royals take on the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday, April 19.
Ahead of their first game in Jaipur, Rajasthan Royals took to Twitter to share a mysterious post where they shared a picture of Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna’s jersey. The post left many perplexed as fans attempted to decode its meaning.
It is to be noted that 27-year-old Krishna will miss the entirety of the IPL 2023 due to a lumbar stress fracture that he sustained against New Zealand A back in September 2022. After seeing the post, many opined that Krishna could make an appearance at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and support Rajasthan Royals from the stands in their fiery clash against Lucknow Super Giants.
Rajasthan Royals aim to stay atop the IPL standings
The finalists of the IPL 2022- Rajasthan Royals- have been in fabulous form at the ongoing edition of the tournament as well. The side will come into the game against Lucknow on the back of three consecutive wins against Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, and the defending champions Gujarat Titans.
With eight points from five games, Rajasthan stand first in the IPL points table, with Lucknow following closely in second spot with six points from five games. The KL Rahul-led side will be keen on registering their fourth win of the season when they take on Rajasthan next. Coming off a loss in their previous game, the visitors would be desperate to get back to winning ways.
However, seeing Rajasthan’s form, it could prove to be quite a challenge for Lucknow to overcome them in Jaipur. With the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer, and Yuzvendra Chahal in top form, Rajasthan Royals would look to turn shift gears in their forthcoming matches, as the Sanju Samson-led side would be keen on going all the way in 2023 and clinching their second IPL title, something they could not do last year.
