Rajasthan Royals aim for better 2023
Notably, the Rajasthan-based franchise relished an impressive season as they reached the summit clash of the event in 2022. It is worth mentioning that the side stood second in the points table with nine wins in 14 matches which helped them cement a place in the playoffs. In addition to this, at the helm, Samson was in great touch as he got 458 runs in 17 outings with two half-centuries to his name.
The side acquired the services of Jason Holder for INR 5.75 crore, wicketkeeper-batter Donovan Ferreira, Adam Zampa, and Murugan Ashwin, among others, in the mini-auction in December. With a solid squad for the 2023 season, Rajasthan will aim for a better season as they will look to compete for the title.
The Royals will kickstart their campaign against Aiden Markram’s Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 2.
