Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) flamboyant batter Virat Kohli took to his social media handle to share a rather hilarious post involving Dinesh Karthik and trainer, Basu Shanker. It is no secret that Kohli takes massive strides in maintaining a fit body which includes the right diet and adequate sessions at the gym.

In one of his recent posts on Twitter, Kohli shared a rib-tickling picture of him and his teammate Karthik while being offered a ‘cheese pocket’ by trainer Basu Shanker. Kohli perfectly illustrated the difference in reactions calling it a ‘trainer test’.

"Trainer test. Basu sir - do you want a cheese pocket? Me- no way, dk,” captioned Kohli on his Twitter handle.

In the ongoing IPL 2023, Kohli has collected 438 runs in 12 appearances with six half-centuries under his belt. Despite being at the receiving end of a lot of criticism over his peculiar batting approach, Kohli is the second-highest run-getter for RCB in their campaign.

On the other hand, wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has failed to get the required big runs coming down the order. In 12 outings, Karthik has only managed to get 140 runs at a dismal average of 12.73.

RCB eyeing a playoff spot in the IPL 2023

Faf du Plessis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore brushed aside Rajasthan Royals in the previous match, beating the latter by 112 runs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. In doing so, RCB climbed to the fifth spot in the IPL Points Table with 12 points in 12 matches at a decent Net Run Rate (NRR) of 0.166.

With just two matches left in their campaign, RCB will need to obtain results in their favour on both occasions to cement their spot in the playoffs. Faf du Plessis and Co. lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their forthcoming match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, May 18. The Men in Red and Gold play their final group match at home at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru, against Gujarat Titans (GT) on Sunday, May 21.
