As the 17th edition of the tournament is just two days, fans are eagerly awaiting the star-studded opening ceremony, where Bollywood's biggest names will take center stage alongside cricketing greats.
In previous seasons, the opening ceremonies have witnessed electrifying performances by renowned Bollywood celebrities, setting the stage for an exhilarating tournament. IPL took to their social media handles to announce the news.

Opening Ceremony to start at 6:30 on March 22
Leading the star-studded lineup are renowned music greats AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam who are all geared up to play their melodious tunes. Joining them, versatile actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will add more glamour to the party.

The opening ceremony will take place on March 22 at 6:30 PM while the game will begin at 7:30 PM. Fans across the globe can catch the ceremony live on Star Sports, while JioCinema will provide live-streaming options.
In the last season of IPL, Arijit Singh, Rashmika Mandanna and Tamannaah Bhatia performed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The recently-concluded Women's Premier League 2024 also saw a grand opening ceremony which included performances from Shah Rukh Khan, Siddharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, Kartik Aaryan, Shahid Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan.
