IPL 2024: Dhanashree Verma shares heartfelt message on Yuzvendra Chahal's 150th outing
"Every time you have come back with a bang, we all love you for that,: said Dhanshree.
The tussle between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Giants on Wednesday saw Yuzvendra Chahal completing his 150th game in the Indian Premier League. Chahal has been one of the star players produced by the IPL who went on to represent India at a global level. He is the highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL and is still at par with other bowlers. His wife, Dhanashree Verma, shared a heartfelt message on this momentous occasion.
The leg-spinner became only the 26th player to achieve this feat among others. Dhanashree while sharing her thoughts termed herself as her husband’s biggest cheerleader. She also said that the spinner time and again delivers when the team is under pressure. Talking about Dhanshree, she is a choreographer and actress herself and has featured in Bollywood songs.
"Hey Yuzi (Yuzvendra) congratulations for your 150th IPL match today. We are super proud of you. The way you have contributed all these years, to your previous teams and now to Rajasthan Royals, I'm sure they all are super proud of the way you have played,” Dhanshree said in a video posted on RR's X handle.

"Every time, you have come back with a bang, and we all love you for that. Whenever the match is stuck in a tricky situation, you are the only bowler who comes and takes a wicket. Just believe in who you are, believe in your craft and your skill set. We are all there to support you. I'm your biggest cheerleader and I will always support you, hundred per cent," she added.

Chahal ranks high in IPL echelons
Chahal is one of the frontrunners in IPL 2024 to grab the purple cap. He has grabbed eight wickets in five matches at an economy rate of 6.35. Moreover, he is just five wickets away from becoming the first bowler to breach the 200 wickets mark in IPL’s history. For the unversed, the Haryana bowler was sidelined from the recently concluded World Cup 2023. Kuldeep Yadav had replaced him in the squad owing to his batting ability down the order.
