In a disappointing turn of events, a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan expressed his dissatisfaction when his ticket for the IPL 2024 match against SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad left him standing. He found himself high and dry, as he had paid a hefty amount of INR 4500 for the ticket.

Taking to 'X' (formerly Twitter), Junaid Ahmed, a loyal CSK fan, expressed his frustration after being assigned seat number J66 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Upon his arrival in the 'J' section, he found out that there was no seat numbered 66, instead finding 'J67' following 'J65'. Sharing video evidence and snapshots of his predicament alongside his expensive ticket, Ahmed demanded a refund or compensation for the inconvenience he endured.

"Disappointed that I’ve booked a ticket and seat Number was J66 in Stand. Sorry state that seat doesn’t exist and had to stand and enjoy the game.  Do I get a refund and compensation for this. #SRHvCSK #IPL2024

However, later it was found that a it was a mix-up and the seat no. 66 was found between J69 and J70.

Sunrisers Hyderabad reclaimed their winning form in the ongoing IPL with a convincing six-wicket win over the defending champions. Abhishek Sharma's explosive start, knocking 37 runs off a mere 12 balls, followed by Aiden Markram’s 50 off 36 and Travis Head's crucial 31 off 24 balls, guided the team through the 166-run chase.

Led by Pat Cummins, SRH effectively managed CSK's run rate in the initial eight overs after winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided the first breakthrough for SRH, dismissing Rachin Ravindra early on, and later, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad fell to Shahbaz Ahmed in the eighth over. However, CSK acquired the momentum when Shivam Dube entered the fray, smashing 45 runs off just 24 balls, propelling CSK to 119/2 in the 14th over. Yet, Cummins' timely dismissal of Dube halted CSK's charge, allowing SRH to restrict the opponents to a total of 165/5.
