IPL 2024: Little Meher who received ball from MS Dhoni reflects on heartwarming gesture
Meher said that she will gift that cherished ball to someone else in the future, once she achieves her dream of becoming a cricketer.
In a heart-warming moment during the IPL 2024 clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 14, MS Dhoni gifted a cricket ball to a young fan in the stands. His compassionate gesture came shortly following his explosive cameo, where he scored an unbeaten 20 runs off just four balls in the final over of the first innings. While making his way towards the dressing room, the former CSK captain spotted a young girl and kindly handed her the ball, which he picked up from the stairs.
Meher, who lived the dream of countless Dhoni fans, recently shared her thoughts on the memorable moment. The little fan expressed her aspiration to represent India in cricket in the future. Additionally, she mentioned that she will gift that cherished ball to someone else in the future, once she achieves her dream of becoming a cricketer.

MS Dhoni shines with another cameo in clash against LSG
MS Dhoni once again showcased his batting prowess in the ongoing IPL 2024 clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow. After being put to bat first, CSK encountered a shaky start to their innings, losing the wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad within the first five overs, leaving them at 33/2.
Ajinkya Rahane, who opened alongside the Kiwi international, then attempted to build a crucial partnership with Ravindra Jadeja. Unfortunately, the veteran batter fell prey to Krunal Pandya on the first delivery of the ninth over. Rahane's innings ended at 36 off 24 deliveries, including five boundaries and one maximum.

Dhoni, who came to bat No. 8 following Moeen Ali's dismissal for 30, smashed an unbeaten 28 off just nine deliveries, including three fours and two sixes. Jadeja emerged as the top performer for CSK, remaining unbeaten with 57 runs off 40 balls as the visitors posted a total of 176 runs in their allotted overs.
