Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns in Match 34 of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Friday. MS Dhoni has been the apple of the public’s eye throughout the IPL 2024. His every move is being documented and cherished on social media. Ahead of the impending clash, LSG have joined the bandwagon with creative messages through hoardings on the streets of Lucknow.
Dhoni lit up the Wankhede Stadium when CSK took on Mumbai Indians the other day. Coming into bat with four balls remaining, he punished Hardik Pandya with a hattrick of sixes. He ended up with the score of an unbeaten 20 off four balls, which proved as deciding factor of the game. LSG keeping the trend in mind, have hoped for former CSK captain’s sixes but not at the cost of losing the game.

Dhoni is Thala for a reason: Sunil Gavaskar
The wicket-keeper batter was in a commanding form against Delhi Capitals, punishing Anrich Nortje for 20 runs in the last over. He finished unbeaten at 37 from just 17 deliveries. He opted to retain the strike, sidelining Ravindra Jadeja in the final two overs, steering CSK closer to the 192-run target. By the end, Dhoni's classic innings comprising three sixes and four boundaries made fans break the decibel meters with their loud cheers.

"See, there are players from different countries and different cities, you have to bring them together with a singular aim of lifting the IPL trophy. In six weeks, we have to win this tournament. For that, you might have some great players, and you are forced to keep them out due to team combination. But you don't let them feel that they're useless; you keep them as an integral part of the team. MSD has these abilities; that's why he's Thala for a reason," said Sunil Gavaskar on Star Sports.
