IPL 2024: MS Dhoni gets annoyed by cameraman from dressing room, video goes viral
Dhoni scored a boundary on the only ball he faced.
In a significant incident during the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, MS Dhoni was seen expressing annoyance towards a cameraman. After being put to bat first, CSK demonstrated supremacy, posting a formidable 210 runs on the board.
As CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and star batter Shivam Dube showcased dominant performances, a cameraman redirected focus to the legendary Dhoni. The former CSK captain was awaiting his turn while observing the duo's brilliant show, his frustration became apparent when his face appeared on the big screen. The 42-year-old, visibly disturbed, expressed his displeasure by tossing a bottle in his hand angrily.

Gaikwad's ton, Dube fifty power CSK to 210 against LSG
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings encountered an early setback as Matt Henry dismissed Ajinkya Rahane cheaply on the final delivery of the first over. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who returned to his opening role, anchored the innings, attempting to form crucial partnerships with Daryl Mitchell and Ravindra Jadeja. Despite lacking support from the duo, the CSK captain finally got a reliable ally in Shivam Dube in the middle.
Gaikwad raced to his maiden century this season, while Dube slammed a quick fifty, thereby establishing a 100-run partnership. Dube's innings ended in the final over, having accumulated 66 off just 27 deliveries, including three boundaries and seven maximums. MS Dhoni eventually walked out to bat with just two balls left. He applied the finishing touches with a boundary off the final delivery as CSK posted a formidable 211-run target for KL Rahul and Co. Gaikwad, on the other hand, remained unbeaten, hammering 108 off just 60 deliveries, featuring 12 fours and three sixes.

LSG, who had secured an eight-wicket win against CSK in their previous encounter in Lucknow, approached the chase with great confidence. However, CSK's premier pacer Deepak Chahar struck in the first over itself, sending back Quinton de Kock to the pavilion for a three-ball duck. Mustafizur Rahman followed it up with the dismissal of Rahul in the fifth over, leaving LSG at 45/2 at the end of the powerplay.
