The iconic wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni once again sent the fans into a frenzy during the IPL 2024 clash between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 14 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The former skipper, who was playing his 250th match for CSK, hammered a hat-trick of sixes against MI captain Hardik Pandya after coming to bat with four balls left. The 42-year-old amassed 20 runs from just four balls, proving to be the crucial factor in CSK's triumph by a margin of 20 runs.

Despite his remarkable effort, Dhoni seemed not completely fit as he was spotted limping in the team hotel after CSK's resounding triumph. In addition, alongside his teammates, the 42-year-old seemed to be struggling while talking and even leaned on the side wall for support post-match.

"Everyone else is more interested in his injuries than he is. He's one of the hardest men I've ever come across. I don't even think we know to what extent he may or may not be in pain. He just carries on and does his thing. I'm sure there's some niggles. He just has that ability to ignore what it is and do what needs to be done. We're more concerned about his injuries. When I say we, I mean the public (which) is more concerned about his injuries than he is," Simmons said after CSK's win.
