Former champions Gujarat Titans are bracing themselves for the Indian Premier League 2024. They will be heading into the season with their newfound captain, Shubman Gill. Their previous skipper, Hardik Pandya, chose his former franchise over present, which led to him getting traded to Mumbai Indians. As the team converged in Gujarat, Gill entered the arena and marked his presence for the next proceedings.
Gill’s has been a touch-and-go affair with the form recently. He was heavily criticised for his bad shot selection in the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia. Since then, the batter has been going through a rough patch. He somehow compensated for his silence with bat via centuries against England in the recently concluded Test series. With the IPL beckoning, the Punjab-born batter will be aiming to forge a statement and solidify his place in the T20 World Cup 2024 squad.
Here’s the video of Gill’s arrival at the GT den:

Gujarat Titans summon challenges with old prospects
The Ahmedabad-based franchise enters the fray with a slew of changes. They had to let go of their captain, who led the team to championship in the inaugural season itself. Their star pacer, Mohammed Shami, has been recuperation with the injury. Hence, they will be left with a lack of experience in their fast-bowling arsenal. The only good news from the player's availability concerns has to be the return of Rashid Khan to the cricket field.
