Chennai Super Kings (CSK) areset to defend their Indian Premier League (IPL) title as they have started their training for the 2024 edition. The Chennai-based franchise will play the curtain raiser against three-time finalists Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22.

The official social media handle of the franchise recently shared a photo that features MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja sweating it out in the nets. The picture has subsequently gone viral on social media. Notably, the franchise has been frequently sharing updates from the training session posing photos and videos. Previously, a photo of 'Captain Cool' who was spotted in his vintage look, with long hair has also set the internet ablaze. 

“7️ 8, Makes our day great,” CSK captioned the post on X (formerly Twitter).

Dhoni is set to lead Chennai Super Kings one last time during the much-anticipated 2024 IPL. The 42-year-old, who guided CSK to clinch the IPL title for the record-equalling five times, has started preparations in the pre-season camp. In a video surfaced on social media, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter was spotted smashing maximums deep into the stands, delivering signs that he remains in his place.

CSK have won a five titles in the cash-rich league, a record they share with Mumbai Indians. The Chennai-based franchise appeared in the final a record 10 times and have qualified for the playoffs 12 times in 14 seasons they have played, most by any other team.
