IPL 2024: Rahmanullah Gurbaz gets his bat signed by MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is on the verge of putting a full stop to his glorious cricket career. The ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 will potentially be his last according to a multitude of reports. The former Chennai Super Kings captain is leaving fans berserk with his appearances all over India. One such fan is Afghanistan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz, as he got his bat signed by the man himself after the match in Chennai.
Kolkata Knight Riders took on CSK in Match 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Though KKR lost the game by seven wickets, their wicket-keeper batter had all the reasons to smile. Gurbaz took to his social media platform and shared a picture with Dhoni. In the picture, he could be seen holding a bat which displayed an autograph of Captain Cool, and ‘Best Wishes for Gurbaz’ written on it.
“Stop worrying about the past. Stop thinking about the future. Just live in the moment and be happy.!MS,” Gurbaz captioned the post on ‘X’.

Gurbaz making most of his stay in India
Gurbaz has been enjoying his stay in India. Thanks to IPL, he has become a household name in the country. In the recent video shared by the KKR, he was spotted presenting his batting gloves to young fans. He is even exploring the different localities of the various cities. In one such incident, he travelled in an auto rickshaw and shared a warm camaraderie with a local driver.

Talking about KKR, they were unbeaten in the tournament so far, before they succumbed to Chennai on Sunday. On being asked to bat first, they dealt an early blow as their top order collapsed. They could not make a comeback in the game and posted a paltry 137 runs on board. In reply, CSK chased the target with seven wickets to spare and handed them their maiden defeat of IPL 2024.
