In a heart-warming display of respect and admiration, Dhruv Jurel, the rising cricket sensation from India, received a special welcome from his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Rajasthan Royals. As Jurel arrived at the team hotel, he was greeted with a guard of honour, a gesture that left a lasting impression on fans.
The moment, captured in a video shared by RR on social media, showcased Jurel walking through a corridor of franchise members, who stood on either side of a red carpet, saluting the talented wicketkeeper-batter. It was a touching tribute to Jurel's father, Nem Chand, a former commander of the Indian Army who bravely served during the Kargil War in 1999 before taking voluntary retirement.

Jurel's bond with his father was evident during India's recent Test series against England, when he celebrated his maiden half-century with a touching 'salute' gesture on the field, dedicating his achievement to his father.
This upcoming IPL season marks Jurel's third stint with the Jaipur franchise. As the inaugural champions gear up for the seventeenth edition, they are set to kick off the season with a home match against Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur on Sunday, March 24. The highly-awaited season is scheduled to commence on Friday, March 22 with a thrilling clash between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Notably, Rajasthan have had their share of ups and downs in the history of the league, from winning in the first-ever edition, to getting banned for two years following match-fixing involvements of co-owners. After the inaugural edition, they haven't been able to taste the ultimate success, but came very close in 2022. Thus, they would be eager to change the fortune this time and the onus to lead their team to ultimate success will heavily rest on players such as Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal alongside Dhruv.
