Mumbai Indians camp is gearing up for the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season. In the middle of the intense preparations, the Australian all-rounder Tim David was seen celebrating his 28th birthday on March 16th. The team was indulged in a fun tradition in cricket, the cake-smashing ritual.
Cake smashing has become somewhat of a tradition in cricket, particularly during the IPL season, with Indian cricketers often leading the charge. This time, Tim David found himself at the centre of this joyous celebration, but with a twist that he was prepared for. In a video posted on the official Mumbai Indians handle David could be seen cutting his birthday cake while playfully warning his teammates. Interestingly enough, Ishan Kishan, who is known for leading the cake-smashing ritual, sweetly wished David but refrained from indulging in the ritual this time.
"While everyone watching MI TV that Ishan loves and is in charge of cake smashing, so we have got a second little cake to get him back," he said.
