IPL 2024: Virat Kohli seen chatting with Muttiah Muralitharan ahead of RCB versus SRH clash

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru gears up to host the much-anticipated clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both sides will face off in the 30th game of the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 on Monday, April 15. 

Ahead of the clash, many eyes will be set on star RCB batter Virat Kohli. The 35-year-old has been one of the most in-form batters, not just for his side but for the entire tournament. With 319 runs in six matches, Kohli is the current holder of the IPL orange cap and continues to perform. 

On the eve of the clash between RCB and SRH, Kohli was captured interacting with SRH’s spin bowling coach, Muttiah Muralitharan. The ace batter and the former legendary spinner seemed to be engaging in a fun chat ahead of RCB’s virtual must-win game. The clip of the same has been going viral all over social media as well.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru look to register second win of IPL 2024

Speaking of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the side has had a dismal season in the ongoing IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League) so far. Having played five games in the tournament, RCB has only managed to win one game so far and has lost the remaining five matches. 

Their only win of the season so far has come against Punjab Kings, which was their second game of the season. The side will be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad after losing four games on the trot, and led by Faf du Plessis, RCB will aim to register their second win of the season.

Currently, RCB find themselves in 10th place in the IPL 2024 standings with two points in six matches. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are led by Pat Cummins, are in contention to make the playoffs. With three wins in five games, Hyderabad find themselves with six points in five matches, and visiting Bengaluru, the side will hope to register their fourth win of the season.
