Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Virat Kohli seemed visibly disappointed in the dressing room following his side's loss against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 2. This defeat marked the third loss for the Faf du Plessis-led side in the league stage of the IPL 2024.

The attention was particularly focused on their former captain, despite the fact that the entire team likely felt disappointed with the outcome against KL Rahul and Co. In a video that has surfaced on social media, the 35-year-old was spotted alone in the dressing room after the defeat. The ace batter seemed deep in thought as he sat slumped in a chair, donning the RCB jersey.

LSG beat RCB by 28 runs in Bengaluru

Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) young pace sensation Mayank Yadav dominated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their pursuit of a competitive target of 182. Yadav, 21, impressed with figures of 3/14 as LSG restricted the hosts to 153 in 19.4 overs, securing a 28-run victory. LSG bowlers put pressure on openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis in the first two overs of the chase.

When the batters attempted to take control, M Siddharth picked his maiden IPL wicket in the fifth over, dismissing Kohli. The RCB captain was then run out of the first ball of the sixth over, bowled by Mayank, who subsequently dismissed Glenn Maxwell. The 21-year-old concluded his impressive performance by rattling the stumps of Cameron Green in his final over.
