IPL 2025: Anirudh Ravichander to perform at Chepauk ahead of CSK vs MI clash

The second game of the Sunday doubleheader will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). It will feature a special performance from renowned composer and playback singer Anirudh Ravichander at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium before the clash between the two biggest rivals in the tournament.
The IPL started with a glitzy opening ceremony at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday which was headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, and featured Bollywood artists Disha Patani and Shreya Ghoshal. Anirudh Ravichander is known to be a massive fan of CSK and announced that he would be performing before the game. There are clips of his rehearsal at the venue which are circulating all over the internet. He is being seen performing a song from one of his compositions from the Tamil blockbuster action movie and Rajnikant starrer ‘Jailer’.

This announcement has already created a lot of hype for the fans who will not only be thrilled to see MS Dhoni, who is probably playing his last season in the IPL, but also one of their favorite composers and artists who is known for his work for hits like Vikram, Leo and Jawan. He has received a lot of praise from the fans and the critics for those movies.
Speaking of the doubleheader matches, apart from the second game which will be played between the aforementioned rivals, the first game of the day will be played between last year's finalists Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and while the SRH team will be led by Pat Cummins once again, the Rajasthan Royals will be led by Riyan Parag for the first three matches in Sanju Samson’s absence due to a finger injury.
