Delhi Capitals's (DC) Karun Nair missed out with the bat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but made quite an impact with his fielding on Sunday, April 27, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to field first on Sunday. His bowlers did a wonderful job to restrict the dangerous Delhi batting line up to 162/8. The hosts were a bit under-par with their score and needed to be at their best on the field. Nair, who made just four runs off as many balls before being dismissed by Yash Dayal, showed his athleticism in the third over bowled by Axar Patel.
Jacob Bethell, making his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut, hit a four and a six to announce his arrival. He went for another boundary off the second ball of Axar's over, but that led to his downfall. It was a shortish delivery bowled on leg-stump. The southpaw rocked back to pull it across, but he couldn't generate sufficient power behind it. Nair ran from deep square-leg and dived forward to take a well-judged catch.

Why is Phil Salt not playing in DC vs RCB Match 46?
Bethell was looking dangerous, especially with only 163 runs to hunt down on a small ground like the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Nair's effort in the deep would have certainly lifted DC's spirits as they look for a win that will take them to the top of the points table.
