IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match - Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans, Match 26

Shardul Thakur took a sensational catch to dismiss the dangerous Jos Buttler in Match No. 26 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Ekana Cricket Stadium.

Gujarat got off to a fantastic start after Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to field first. Openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan forged a 120-run stand in 12.1 overs before Lucknow started a fightback. The home side's fielding was one of the major factors which helped them pull things back considerably towards the back end of the innings.

The fourth ball of the 17th over bowled by Digvesh Rathi saw Buttler trying to play a sweep for a boundary. However, some extra bounce meant that the former England white-ball skipper got a top-edge which went to the left of the short fine-leg fielder, Thakur. The Mumbai all-rounder scampered across the turf while keeping his eyes fixed on the ball. In the end, the 33-year-old put in a dive to complete a brilliant catch. Buttler departed for a 14-ball 16.
