IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – MI vs LSG, Match 45
Will Jack struck first ball to get rid of a dangerous-looking Nicholas Pooran.
Suryakumar Yadav took a well-judged catch to dismiss Nicholas Pooran during Match 45 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 27. Pooran had to head back to the pavilion on the first ball of the run-chase after the conclusion of the powerplay.
Pooran lofted a tossed up delivery by Will Jacks down the ground, however, the aerial drive did not travel the distance. Suryakumar, stationed at long off, sprinted left, lunged and dived forward in his follow-through while having complete control as the West Indian southpaw had to depart for 27 (15).
Earlier in the evening, Suryakumar registered a 28-ball 54-run knock as MI ended up putting up 215/7 after being asked to bat first. Wicketkeeper-batter Ryan Rickelton top-scored with 58 (32) while Naman Dhir remained unbeaten at the end with a quickfire 25.
LSG clinched the orevious fixture against the joint-most successful franchise of the IPL by 12 runs earlier this month. Digvesh Rathi secured the Player of the Match accolade for his 1/21 in four overs. MI ended up on 191/5 while chasing LSG's 203/8.
