IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – MI vs RCB, Match 20
Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Rajat Patidar walked back after scoring a 32-ball 64.
Mumbai Indians' wicket-keeper batter Ryan Rickelton pulled off what could be called the catch of IPL 2025 so far, diving full-length behind him to dismiss the in-form Rajat Patidar. The RCB skipper, who walked in at No.4, played a captain’s knock, bringing up his fifty in just 25 deliveries. His partnership with Jitesh Sharma, with the latter also going all-out in the death overs (40* off 19), took the visiting team past the 200-mark.
However, Rickelton pulled off a blinder in the final ball of the 19th over, as Patidar attempted a scoop off Trent Boult's bowling. The ball, taking a top edge, was looking to reach the boundary over the keeper; however, Rickelton, sprinting back from behind the stumps, never took his eyes off the ball. South Africa threw himself forward with his arms outstretched and made a full-length dive to complete the catch, with Patidar walking back after scoring 64 off 32 balls.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first against RCB, who were coming off their first defeat of the season. Opening the innings, RCB lost Phil Salt in the second ball, courtesy of a classic Boult dismissal.
However, that early breakthrough did not stop Virat Kohli, who looked in sublime form. Alongside Devdutt Padikkal, the duo stitched 91 runs off just 52 balls. Kohli reached his fifty in 29 balls, and it took Pandya to dismiss both him (67 off 42) and Liam Livingstone (0 off 2). The side eventually finished on 221/5 in their 20 overs. For MI, Boult ended on the expensive side, finishing his spell with 2/57. Pandy and Vignesh Puthur shared one wicket each.
Tim David and Salt made a fantastic effort in the deep after Krunal's second delivery in the game's last over. The ball was headed for the deep midwicket boundary after Deepak Chahar's enormous mow. Over his head, Salt caught the ball and quickly parried it to David, who was inside the fence.
