IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match - Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals, Match 18
Maxwell appeared to have misjudged the opportunity but redeemed himself quite well at the end.

A well-executed catch at the deep-cover fence by Glenn Maxwell brought about the end of Nitish Rana on the fourth delivery of the 15th over of the first innings in Match 18 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Rana, looking to get a move on, could only manage to direct the ball to as far as the region where Maxwell was present.
Running to his left, the Australian all-rounder seemed to have misjudged the trajectory of the ball for a brief period. However, he recovered well to hang on to the ball in the end. A length delivery well outside the off stump was attempted to be slashed by the left-handed batter. Rana got the elevation but not the length.

RR managed to end up with 205/4 at the end. Earlier in the evening, PBKS won the toss and opted to field first. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson (38 off 26) combined to forge 89 runs for the opening wicket. A late flourish by Riyan Parag (43* off 25) meant RR ended up with the aforementioned total.

As for the hosts, Maxwell was the most economical bowler. However, he bowled only a solitary over. Lockie Ferguson ended up snagging a couple of wickets. Marcus Stoinis proved to be the most expensive of the lot. He ended up conceding 48 in his four-over quota.
