Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant made a good call during the toss by forcing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to bat first in the seventh game of the IPL 2025. Surprisingly, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, didn't see any fireworks from the Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head duo, who are known for their explosive starts.
Unlike other days, SRH could only score 190 runs in the first innings. LSG batters made sure that they took the game home by breaching SRH's fortress. Rishabh Pant-led LSG team won the game by five wickets. Meanwhile, SRH's Harshal Patel took a fabulous catch at the deep mid-wicket region to affect the dismissal of Ayush Badoni on the last ball of the 13th over.
Adam Zampa bowled a googly which the batter judged correctly. However, he couldn't connect the ball well with the bat, and it ended up getting the elevation, but not the distance. Harshal ran towards the ball and eventually grabbed it without making any mistake.

The wicket came against the run of play, as LSG were already on course to seal the victory. However, this is the second consecutive failed innings for Badoni in the tournament. The Delhi-born would hope to come good in the upcoming outing, nonetheless.
