Kolkata Knight Riders got the better of Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in Match 48 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 29. This victory marked their fourth win of the season.
Batting first, KKR posted 204/9. The top three of Rahmanullah Gurbaz (26 off 12), Sunil Narine (27 off 16), Ajinkya Rahane (26 off 14) contributed quite briskly. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (44 off 32) top-scored with the bat. Rinku Singh (36 off 25) chipped in with some runs too. The final over of the innings produced three wickets. Axar Patel (2/27) and Vipraj Nigam (2/41) shared four wickets between them.
As far as the run-chase is concernd, DC put on 58/2 at the end of six overs. Narine’s direct hit ended up dismissing KL Rahul (seven off five). Faf du Plessis (62 off 45) and Axar Patel (43 off 23) kept DC in the hunt with a 76-run partnership. Regular strikes from Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Anukul Roy derailed the chase beyond repair. The hosts fell short despite a valiant 38 off 19 by Vipraj Nigam.

1. Chameera pulls off stunner to dismiss Anukul
It took a gravity-defying catch by Chameera to end Anukul's single-ball innings in the middle. The ball seemed destined to travel for six after the left-handed all-rounder whipped it off his pads. However, Chameera hurled himself mid-air to hold onto a truly wonderful grab.

A hesitant call by Rahul while batting with du Plessis left him marginally short of the crease at the striker's end. Narine's throw from short fine leg was bang on target. Rahul had to walk back for an underwhelming seven off five.
