IPL 2025: LSG vs CSK, Match 30 – Full highlights, top moments & winner details

Visiting side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) emerged victorious against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 30 of the IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League), at the Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, on Monday, April 14. With this, CSK secured their second win of the season, their first after five consecutive losses.

LSG put up 166 on the board after their quota of 20 overs. Skipper Rishabh Pant top-scored with 63 off 49. Mitchell Marsh was the only other batter to reach the 30-run mark. CSK spinner Noor Ahmad bowled a splendid spell, conceding only 13 runs in his four overs.

Coming to the run-chase, CSK got off to a bright start in the powerplay. Shaik Rasheed looked particularly impressive during his 27-run stay in the middle. The middle overs saw LSG take control. In the end, it was Shivam Dube (43 off 37) and MS Dhoni (26* off 11) who brought the game to a close, with the latter being adjudged as the Player of the Match.

1. Rishabh Pant carries LSG with calculated half-century

On a relatively tough batting deck, LSG's skipper played a much-needed knock to guide his side to post a competitive total on the board. His nature knock comprised four fours and as many sixes.

2. Shaik Rasheed shows promise with bat on IPL debut

The 20-year-old, playing his first IPL game while replacing Devon Conway at the top of the order, got off to a solid start by scoring a flurry of boundaries in the first half of the powerplay. All six of the shots Rasheed played were classy ones. 

3. MS Dhoni comes in clutch to lead from the front

Dhoni came in to bat with his side in a spot of bother in the 16th over. However, his boundaries off the LSG pacers propelled his side closer to victory.
