The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) continued their winning streak by putting an end to the Gujarat Titans' (GT) hot streak of four games in Lucknow. It was quite a one-sided victory for LSG as they won the game by six wickets. Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran did what they do best - chase. Rishabh Pant looked elated after their fourth victory in the season.

It was Pant who won the toss and elected to field first. Soon after Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill took the field, they smashed the LSG bowlers all around the park. The duo put up an opening stand of 120 runs. However, in the 13th over, Gill was dismissed, and soon after him, Sudharsan was too. After their dismissals, GT's batting line-up collapsed, and in the next eight overs, the batters could only add 60 runs more.

When LSG came to bat in the second innings, it was captain Rishabh Pant who promoted himself up in the batting order and played alongside Aiden Markram. His new batting position couldn't change his poor form, and he was dismissed on 21 runs by Prasidh Krishna. However, instead of scoring in single digits, Pant did hit four boundaries.

His dismissal brought Nicholas Pooran (61 off 34) to the crease, who has been in terrific form. The batter complemented well with Markram (58 off 31) and led LSG to their fourth victory in the tournament.
