IPL 2025 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from DC vs RR, Match 32 at Arun Jaitley Stadium
The match had to be decided via a Super Over after both sides made 188 in their respective innings.
Delhi Capitals pulled off a thrilling win over Rajasthan Royals in Match 32 of the IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, April 16. The nail-biting victory marked DC’s fifth win in six matches this season.
Batting first, Abishek Porel provided a fiery start. Tushar Deshpande leaked 23 in his opening over of the game. After Jake Fraser-McGurk (nine off six) fell early, a miscommunication led to an unfortunate run-out of Karun Nair. DC managed 46/2 in the powerplay and reached 76 at the 10-over mark. Porel was dismissed for 49. Axar Patel’s explosive cameo of 34 off 14 deliveries, in addition to Tristan Stubbs' 34* (18), lifted DC to 188/5.
RR began their chase positively. They notched up 63 runs in their powerplay. Skipper, Sanju Samson, scored 31 off 19 deliveries but retired hurt due to a rib issue just as the powerplay was going to come to an end. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a fine half-century but was dismissed for 51. Nitish Rana's 51-run knock reignited RR’s hopes towards the end. Mitchell Starc was superb in defending nine in the final over to push the match into the first Super Over of the season.
In the Super Over, Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag struck early boundaries off Starc, but a couple of run-outs towards the end restricted RR to 11. DC hunted down 12 with absolute ease off Sandeep Sharma. Stubbs sealed the win with a maximum over deep midwicket after KL Rahul garnered seven off the first three deliveries.
