Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) avenged their home defeat from two days ago with a dominant performance against hosts Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Chandigarh. In their earlier encounter at Bengaluru, RCB suffered a five-wicket loss in a rain-affected clas, which was reduced to 14 overs per side after a rain delay.

Determined to bounce back, RCB came into the recent fixture with full energy and focus. RCB skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl first in the afternoon clash. The decision paid off as PBKS batters struggled against RCB's disciplined bowling attack, losing wickets at regular intervals to manage only manage 157/6.

Prabhsimran Singh was the top scorer with a quick 33 off 17 balls, while others also failed to convert their starts. RCB spinners Krunal Pandya (2/25) and Suyash Sharma (2/26) bowled tight lines and claimed crucial wickets, restricting PBKS to a modest total.

Chasing 158, RCB looked in control right from the start as veteran Virat Kohli anchored the chase brilliantly with a composed 73 off 54. He was well-supported by Impact Player Devdutt Padikkal, who played a fluent knock of 61 off 35. The duo ensured there were no struggles as RCB comfortably crossed the finish line.

With this win, RCB move to third place on the IPL 2025 points table with five victories, while PBKS, suffering their third loss of the season, slipped to fourth place.
