Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Punjab Kings by seven wickets in Match 37 of IPL 2025 at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on April 20, With this win, they avenged their recent five-wicket loss to the same opposition at home.

Batting first, PBKS started off quite well before Krunal Pandya’s double strike to dismiss the openers triggered a collapse. By the 10-over mark, PBKS were 79/4. Suyash Sharma then got rid of Josh Inglis (29 off 17) and Marcus Stoinis (one off two) in the same over, Shashank Singh (31* off 33) and Marco Jansen (25* off 20) helped PBKS get to 157/6.

In reply, RCB lost Phil Salt (one off three) early but rebounded through a strong powerplay stand between Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. Padikkal, who came in as an Impact Player, was dismissed after stroking 61 off 35 balls while Kohli remained unbeaten on 73. Jitesh Sharma sealed the game with a six.

1. Krunal Pandya's special effort in the field dismisses Shreyas Iyer     

A slice off a full ball went straight into the air behind the bowler's head off Iyer's bat. Krunal, charging in from the long-on fence, raced to his left and pouched the catch around his chest area while coming in at full pace. 

2. Suyash Sharma's double-wicket over floors PBKS

The second and fifth deliveries of the 15th over of the first innings brought the wickets of Inglis and Marcus Stoinis. Both the deliveries quite easily got the better of the batters, both of whom saw their stumps disturbed.

3. Virat Kohli anchors run-chase with classy innings

It was a special knock by the former RCB skipper. He played the perfect anchoring role for his side on a track which was not the easiest to bat on. Kohli's time at the crease came with a lot of running between the wickets.
