Ishan Kishan delivered a flying kiss to Sunrisers Hyderabad's owner, Kavya Maran, after getting to his half-century off 25 deliveries in the hosts' game against Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, March 23. It was a delightful maximum over the deep point region, which meant Kishan brought up his first century for the franchise in his debut game for SRH.
Jofra Archer was at the receiving end of a batting onslaught by the batter. Kishan raised his bat to the ardent lot of supporters who had packed the venue. Immediately after spotting the SRH co-owner in the stands, he blew a flying kiss, gesturing toward the think tank leader for believing in him as their no. 3 batter for the ongoing 2025 edition.

Notably, Kishan was secured by the franchise for INR 11.25 crore at the two-day mega auction in Jeddah in November 2024. He was not retained by Mumbai Indians after spending seven long seasons with them. SRH capitalised on his availability and roped the aggressive batter for the aforementioned price.
Kishan becomes first centurion of 2025
Speaking of Match 2 of IPL 2025, Kishan did not just halt after getting to his fifty. Instead, he carried on the mayhem and inflicted added misery on the opposition unit by amassing a spectacular century. He ended up notching his first hundred in the IPL, ending up unbeaten on 106 off 47 deliveries. His scintillating innings comprised 11 fours and six sixes.

SRH racked up a mammoth 286/6 in their allotted 20-over quota. Travis Head emerged as the second-highest run-scorer; registering a quick-fire 67 off 31 deliveries. A couple of 30 and 34-run blitzes by Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen helped the Orange Army's cause in the business end of their innings. Jofra Archer proved to be the most expensive out of the RR bowlers, conceding a record 76 runs in his four overs.
