Rishabh Pant's horrific car crash on Friday morning (December 30) sent shockwaves around the globe. However, his Indian teammate Ishan Kishan, who was participating in a Ranji Trophy match for Jharkhand, was shocked after hearing about Pant's accident while interacting with the fans at the Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur.

The cricketing fraternity was shocked to the core after Indian batting sensation Rishabh Pant's car crash in the early hours of Friday. The batter managed to escape without any fatal injuries, thanks to his determination and help from locals present at the spot. He is currently in a stable condition, after undergoing surgeries for his laceration wounds sustained during the crash.

Ishan Kishan, who was representing Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy match against Services, came to know about Pant's accident only after an interaction with the fans. Kishan was clicking pictures with the fans present at the venue when one of the spectators made him aware of Pant's accident. The southpaw, expectedly, was shocked to hear the news but was encouraged by the fans to concentrate on the game.

The 24-year-old said, "kya" in disbelief, and then replied, "Kya baat kar rahe ho yaar."

Kishan's side went onto the win by a comprehensive margin of nine wickets thanks to a magnificent ton from senior batter Saurabh Tiwari in the first innings. Later that day, the southpaw put out a message for the injured cricketer, wishing him a speedy recovery. The cricketer from Patna will be in action against Sri Lanka in the upcoming T20I series commencing on January 3.
