'It's a technical issue' - Ramiz Raja draws hilarious comparison between scorecard graphics glitch and Pakistan's top order

Pakistan and Netherlands squared off in the second match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on October 6, Friday. The Netherlands won the toss and invited Babar Azam and Co. to bat first.

During the match, the digital scoreboard disappeared from the screen. Fans who were watching the clash on television and online were irked after seeing the match without knowing the scores. However, the issue was fixed later, with the commentators later confirming that it happened due to a technical glitch.

Meanwhile, after the scoreboard went missing, Pakistan commentator Ramiz Raja made a hilarious comparison with the batters, saying '"It's a technical issue like Pakistan's top order."

In terms of the game, Pakistan got off to the worst possible start after being asked to bat first. The Netherlands, on the other hand, were brilliant from the beginning, dismissing Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Imam-ul-Haq within the first ten overs of the match. 

Saud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan spearheaded Pakistan's innings, scoring 68 runs each. Notably, the pair put up a 120-run stand for the fourth wicket off 114 balls before Shakeel was sent back to the pavilion. The Babar Azam-led side were four down for 170 in 30 overs.

With Bas de Leede removing Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed shortly thereafter, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz brought their side back to the game. The pair ended up putting together a 50-plus run partnership for the seventh wicket. 

Leede struck twice in the 44th over, dismissing Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali in consecutive deliveries to claim his fourth wicket of the match and Pakistan were 252/8. 

Between March and July, the Netherlands had a busy ODI schedule that included matches against Zimbabwe and South Africa before participating in the Cricket World Cup qualifiers. Prior to the World Cup, they played two exhibition games, both of which were postponed.

Although they were able to complete a few overs in their first match against Australia, their match against India was called off before the toss. Pakistan, on the other hand, competed in both warm-up games against New Zealand and Australia, both of which they lost.
