Chennai Super Kings’ star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was awestruck by a painting that one of his fans created on a canvas. Appreciating the artwork, the 34-year-old also signed on it and later clicked a photo with Yash Prajapati, the artist who made it.
Later, the artist took it to Instagram and eventually thanked Jadeja for his kind words and warm gesture. Talking about the painting, Jadeja mentioned stated that it’s really very good and that he really liked it.
“It’s really good. I really like it,” Jadeja mentioned.
CSK on verge of making it to playoffs
Even though Jadeja has had a relatively poor season with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2023, Chennai are currently second on the IPL points table. They have almost guaranteed their position in the playoffs but can’t relax at the moment.
If the MS Dhoni-led side loses its last match against Delhi Capitals and if three out of four teams in the form of Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore manage to win their remaining games, Chennai will crash out of the tournament.
On the other hand, if Chennai manage to win their next match against DC and if MI loses one out of their remaining two matches, the four-time champions can finish in the top two of the IPL points table and courtesy of which, they will get two opportunities to qualify for the finals of the competition.
Meanwhile, in their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders, CSK suffered a six-wicket defeat as neither their batters nor their bowlers could create a significant impact. Shivam Dube with his 48* runs off 34 deliveries was the sole warrior as CSK on its home turf could post only 144 runs on the board. Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy were brilliant with the ball as the spin duo picked up two wickets each.
When it came to the chase, KKR lost a couple of early wickets but skipper Nitish Rana (57* runs off 44 deliveries) and Rinku Singh (54 runs off 43 deliveries) rose up to the occasion and helped KKR win the match comfortably. With that, the two-time champions remain alive in the race to qualify for the playoffs.
