Kane Williamson welcomes third child with wife Sarah Raheem

New Zealand batter Kane Williamson, and his wife, Sarah Raheem, are in the joy of parenthood once again as they announce the arrival of their third child into the world.

Kane Williamson, the renowned New Zealand batter, and his wife, Sarah Raheem, are embracing parenthood once more with the birth of their third child. The 33-year-old cricketer took to his Instagram today to share the heartwarming news, expressing sheer delight at the new addition to their family.

In a post graced with parental bliss, Williamson wrote, "And then there was 3 🙏 Welcome to the world beautiful Girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead ❤️."

This delightful addition marks the second daughter for the couple, joining her elder sibling born in 2020, along with a son welcomed into their lives in 2022. 

Williamson was on paternity leave during the recent T20I series against Australia. Kiwis lost the the series 0-3 and are now gearing up for the Test series starting on 29th February, 2024. Kane will be back in the squad for the first time after the birth of his new child.

Kane Williamson is back in the NZ Test side for the series against Australia.

Kane was in subline form during the recent two-Test series against South Africa and ended up being the highest run-scorer of the series with 403 runs in four innings. His contribution led New Zealand to win their first-ever Test series against the Proteas.

During this remarkable tour, Williamson etched his name in history books by hitting his 30th, 31st, and 32nd Test centuries. This stellar performance took him to the 11th position on the list of cricketers with the most Test centuries in history, with just one century away from matching former England batter Alastair Cook in the top 10.

Before Williamson's illustrious career, the record for most centuries by a New Zealander in Test cricket was held by Martin Crowe, with 17 centuries in 77 matches.

Williamson and Tim Southee have both played 98 Test matches for New Zealand and with the upcoming series against Australia, both the veterans will join the list of players to have played 100 or more Test matches for their nation. So far, only five players have played 100 Test matches for the Kiwis.
