WATCH: KKR unveil new three-star jersey with golden champions badge for IPL 2025

The Champions Trophy is almost coming to an end and after the ICC event, the hype has already been created for the upcoming IPL 2025 season, Notably, the Indian franchise T20 cricket carnival which will get underway from March 22. This will be the 18th edition of the T20 franchise league which will feature some of the best players in the World.

The team that will be going into the season as the defending champions will be the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who won their third title in 2024 under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. Though there is going to be a new skipper who will be coming into the limelight, there are some great players who will be playing for the franchise in the upcoming season. It also seems like the three-time champions have already created hype for their upcoming title defence this season as they have released their jersey for the upcoming tournament. 

The franchise has released their new kit in style where they have hyped up the new three-star jersey with people promoting the number three in their normal day-to-day lives. The jersey along with woven three stars also features a gold IPL logo on the right sleeve as well. The video also features some big stars of KKR in the form of the star finisher Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Manish Pandey, and Vaibhav Arora. These cricketers were displayed taking selfies in their brand-new jerseys.

KKR to start their campaign against RCB

As the defending champions KKR will start their tournament from the first game of the tournament itself where they will be playing their first game against rivals Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their home ground Eden Gardens, in Kolkata.

The last game they played against the Men in Red was on April 21 2024 in game 36 where the two teams were involved in a thrilling high-scoring game that took place at the same venue. KKR went on to edge out a one-run victory against RCB at the end and it was Andre Russell who emerged as the player of the match for his all-round performance.
