As February 14, is considered as St. Valentine's day aka the 'Day of Love', several cricketers on the occassion of Valentine's day, choose to showcase their love for their beloved ones both on and off the field. Earlier today, Indian cricketer, Prithvi Shaw chose to post a message on his Instagram which went viral with fans giving their mixed reactions regarding the same.

Meanwhile, in the same vein, former Sri Lanka cricketer and current ICC umpire, Kumar Dharmasena has posted a rather unique post on social media, which has left the netizens scratching their heads. Kumar Dharmasena had posted a collage-picture of two combined photos: One of himself with former BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly, and another with former PCB Chairman, Ramiz Raja.

Now, the question arises, what caused the legendary figure to post such a collage on Valentine's day?

'What was he thinking?' - Twitter goes bonkers over Kumar Dharmasena's post

The prime reason for the same was evidently the caption of the post, which the 51-year-old had used for the collage, which sent the twitterati into a frenzy and left them clueless as it was hard for them to draw a logical conclusion out of it.

“Happy Valentine’s to all of you," Dharmasena wrote on his Facebook account along with heart emojis in the caption to his photos with former Indian skipper and BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly and the former PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja.

Let's have a look how Twitter reacted to the post-

Kumar Dharmasena made his international debut for Sri Lanka against South Africa in September 1993 at the SSC, Colombo and went wicketless in the match. He made his ODI debut in August 1994 against Pakistan at RPS Colombo. He was also a handy lower order batsman and made significant contributions on many occasions.

In Test cricket, Dharmasena played 31 matches and scored 868 runs while taking 69 wickets. He also played 141 ODI matches scoring 1222 runs and taking 138 wickets in them. He retired from international cricket in November 2006 and shortly afterwards announced his wish to become an umpire to remain close to the game. Dharmasena has umpired in 53 test matches, 84 ODIs and 22 T20Is.

Dharamsena holds the unique feat of being the only person who has both played and umpired in a Cricket World Cup final. Apart from being one of the two on-field umpires in the 2019 final, he was part of the Sri Lankan team that defeated Australia in the 1996 Cricket World Cup final in Lahore.
