Suryakumar Yadav played a fantastic knock in the game against Hong Kong and clearly showed why he is rated among the best T2OI batters going around. He stitched a partnership of an unbeaten 98 with Virat Kohli for the third wicket and boasted the Indian total hugely.

The Mumbaikar himself stayed unbeaten on 68 off 26 balls which included six sixes and six fours and ripped apart the Hong Kong bowling attack. Post the game, Kohli interviewed Suryakumar in a chat session and the 33-year-old hailed the latter for his superlative knock.

During the interaction, Kohli wanted to know if Suryakumar tried to become the second Indian to hit six sixes in an over. The question had popped up after Suryakumar hit three sixes of the first three balls in the final over of the innings and there were immediate comparisons with Yuvraj Singh who hit six sixes in an over in 2007.

Suryakumar cheekily replied to Kohli stating that he doesn’t want to get past Yuvraj’s record on a funny note.

“I was trying my best. But, let's not get past Yuvi paa,” Suryakumar told in the video posted by BCCI.

Kohli explained that Yuvraj's innings were incredible and felt that it was a magical over.

“That was a magical over, especially against Broad. That was stunning,” Kohli added.
