Veteran Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara recently caught every headline after he took his social media, just hours ahead of Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the ongoing season of the IPL 2024 (Indian Premier League).
Notably, Pujara hinted at a return to CSK after three years. His post sent the Chennai fans into overdrive as the star batter revealed that he was excited to join the fans.
“#SupperKings looking forward to join you guys this season!” Pujara tweeted.
Interestingly enough, many fans came forward to discuss what the cryptic post could mean. Many pointed out how instead of Super Kings, Pujara wrote “Supper Kings” in the tweet and the fans discussed whether it could mean something different. It is worth noting that Pujara has played 30 matches in the IPL throughout his career, and the veteran batter has amassed 390 runs to his name, maintaining an average of 20.53 and a strike rate of 99.74 runs.

Chennai Super Kings aim to breeze past Mumbai Indians
Speaking of Chennai Super Kings, the side will continue its IPL 2024 campaign by taking on Mumbai Indians. Both sides will lock horns in the 29th game of the tournament at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, April 14. Having played five games in the competition so far, CSK has managed to register three wins and has faced two losses.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians seem to have hit their stride. Having played five games in the tournament, MI has won two matches and lost the remaining three. After losing three games on the trot, MI have won two back-to-back matches, and while hosting archrivals CSK, the five-time champions will aim to topple the visitors. Chennai find themselves in third place in the standings with six points in five matches; on the other hand, Mumbai Indians sit in seventh place with four points in five matches.
