The duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been a force to reckon with during their prime years. Currently, due to the team combination, both players fail to fit in the same XI but the kind of camaraderie they share is remarkable. Even though the spinners are fighting for one particular spot, they have a massive understanding and always mention helping each other.
Meanwhile, wishing his long-time bowling partner a very happy birthday, Kuldeep extended his greetings and stated that they always hunt in a pack, be it on the field or off. The left-arm off-spinner also wished Chahal’s year to be filled with an abundance of joy, success and blessings.
“Always hunting together as a pack, on the pitch and on the beach. Wishing you the happiest of birthdays my brother, and may your year be filled with abundance of joy, success and blessings. Lots of love always from Kul to Cha,” Kuldeep wrote on his Instagram.
'He always advised me to just focus on the rehab' - Kuldeep Yadav on Yuzvendra Chahal being his support system in his toughest days
Notably, the duo appeared in one of the episodes of a popular chat show hosted by Gaurav Kapoor. In that episode, Kuldeep Yadav revealed how Chahal always had his back during one of the toughest periods of his life. He was dropped from the Indian squad and suffered an unfortunate injury, which derailed his plans for India comeback.
Talking about the same, Kuldeep stated that he always used to call the leg-spinner and the latter motivated him in order to stay focused during recovery.
“Whenever I was down, from the Indian team I used to talk mostly to Chahal. I used to get mood swings when I was injured and had surgery. I used to get angry every 15 minutes and vent it to him. He always advised me to just focus on the rehab and the comeback will be great. It did help me a lot,” Kuldeep said in Breakfast with Champions show.
Meanwhile, both these cricketers are in the scheme of things to be in the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup. Interestingly, since the entire tournament will be played in the subcontinent, the duo can very well reunite in the mega tournament.
